How to Select the Best Racing Drones as a Beginner?
Are you ready to get the sight of the virtual cockpit as an airplane racer? Or are you an aerial photographer keen on capturing the breathtaking view with a remote camera? If so, you should try first-person-view(FPV) racing drones to enjoy both racing and a real-time view.Racing drone selection depends on the following criteria for beginners:
The amount of thrust a drone produces shows how much it can lift. If a drone's thrust-to-weight is over 3.0, this drone is suitable for racing. The higher the amount is, the faster the drone can be.
2. Battery cells
The battery pack voltage, which is decided by the number of battery cells, is critical since it affects the maximum motor speed of a drone. Basically, more battery cells allows a drone to fly faster.
3. Type of controller
Joystick controller enables you to have quicker reverse control as it is easy to handle a jerk with a joystick.
5. Legal consideration
Do make sure that you keep yourself updated with all the drone regulations in Singapore, regarding restricted areas and permission to fly near private properties. Here is the limited fly zone in Singapore as below:And for Malaysia, you can refer to FAQ of Unmanned Aircraft System (‘UAS’)/Drones by CAAM. You can’t fly your drone (applies to all type of UAS)
• in Class A, B, C or G airspace
• within an aerodrome traffic zone
• at the height of more than 400 feet above the surface of the earth
So if you are interested to hold a drone racing game with your friends, remember to choose a legal location for drone flying.
